These big face to face meetings are necessary, and for sure when your doing collaborative projects, team work.
It seems e-mail becomes the predominant default form of communication. But it lacks often the personal touch, especially between groups of native and non-native speakers. As the clarity of expression, and the level of comprehension needs to be the focus.
Business is business but a personal touch is just so beneficial, innit!

Glad you came away with such impressions, mutual benefits, and did some glob trotting.

Spanish is available now for both themes, basic and azure. Additionally, Pablo translated the admin lang file and the admin help file into Spanish. In a first step, I uploaded it to OXID projects SVN. Will make downloadable packages soon.

Hello Javier,

thanks in the name of the community! Indeed, Spanish is still missing. There are two language files:
/out/[Theme]/en/lang.php for the store front and
/out/admin/en/lang.php for the admin panel.

We collect all translated languages on this pages in OXIDforge:
http://wiki.oxidforge.org/Category:Languages

Somebody already promised to translate into Spanish but nothing happened yet. Please simply overwrite this file.

Hello,

I think that OXID eshop is the best option of open code that exists to create an online store, but there is not yet an Spanish translation. I am willing to do it because I think it’s worth. Would you give me some pointers to get started. What I must keep in mind to do it. I know it will be hard but I am very exited.

Hi Uwe,
I (on my private blog) personally recommend to use PHP 5.3. It seems to be much faster and you’ll get a much better performance. As I posted before: we are still working on the deployment, hope to get it done soon with one of the next releases following 4.5.0. Until that point, could you please turn to OXID support to get it done manually? Thanks!

Hi Marco, what is Oxid’s offiical recommendation on installing/configuring new LAMP/PHP-Server, where PE-edition is going to run on ? Either go with PHP 5.3 or manually compile and run PHP 5.2.x ?
